Katie Bailey grew up in the north east of England and moved to Derby in 1995. An enduring love of classic Hollywood films combined with her favourite past-time of photographing friends and family led Katie to embark on a career in photography. She spent seven years working in photographic studios, but increasingly found the constraints of working in a studio restrictive and uninspiring for both herself and her clients. So Katie started her own business as a professional lifestyle photographer.

Working within the lifestyle ethic, Katie has found a way to make photo shoots more fun and therefore more relaxed. This helps her to draw out the subject’s personality during a session, resulting in the most beautiful and natural portraits. Katie combines her passion for photography, fascination for people and eye for the moment to create an enjoyable experience for everyone involved in her photo shoots.
